Top football players from Central America at Europa-Park:

National football team from Costa Rica stays overnight in the hotel Colosseo

 

From May 17th to 23rd, Europa-Park will be the training camp of the national football team from Costa Rica. On March 3rd, the president of the Costa Rican football association, Hermes Navarro Vargas, and Engelbert Gabriel, representative of Europa-Park, have signed an agreement on the national team's stay at Europa-Park.

The delegation from Costa Rica with Hermes Navarro Vargas, his wife Ingrid, Alexandre Guimaraes, trainer of the national team, and co-trainer Erick Louis Bolaños was highly pleased with the wide range of activities in Germany's biggest theme park and the close-by training grounds.
From May 17th to 23rd, the Costa Rican national team will prepare at Europa-Park for the opening game on June 9th in Munich. Apart from the training units on the nearby football grounds in Rust and Niederhausen the football players will enjoy a fantastic tour through Europa-Park with more than 100 attractions and shows. In addition, the visitors of Europa-Park can meet the national players from Costa Rica during an autograph session. A press conference with the Costa Rican football association will be organised at Europa-Park during their stay.

For several years the city of Lahr, which is situated approximately 15 minutes away from Europa-Park, has been in close contact to Costa Rica, especially to the city of Alajuela. Therefore, a friendly game will be organised on the football grounds in Lahr on May 20th. One part of the proceeds will be in favour of the friendship Lahr - Alajuela, the other part will be used for the realisation of a sports complex of the "Goal Project of the Costa Rica Football Federation?.
