Europa-Park builds fourth hotel

Next year, the visitors of Europa-Park can stay overnight like friars and nuns and yet live in luxury. A new hotel which is designed in the style of an ancient Portuguese monastery is built next to the Spanish hotel El Andaluz. Although the guests are surrounded by the atmosphere of ancient times, the hotel will offer all modern comforts of a 4-star hotel. The ground-breaking ceremony will probably take place this autumn, the opening of the new hotel is scheduled for July 2007.

With approximately 250 beds, the new hotel will increase the capacity of the Europa-Park Resort, so that even more visitors can stay in Germany's biggest theme park for several days. In addition a large conference area will be offered in order to meet the increasing number of congresses and conferences. A beautifully designed wellness area will invite the guests to relax and leave their everyday life behind.

At the moment, the three already existing hotels "El Andaluz?, "Castillo Alcazar? and "Colosseo? have an occupancy rate of more than 90 %. Due to the rising number of visitors who want to stay overnight in the Europa-Park Resort, the demand for further hotel capacities is evident. Especially as the airport in Lahr, which is situated just about 12 minutes away from Europa-Park, now has a passenger licence, so that an increasing number of international guests travelling to Germany's biggest theme park is expected in the future.

Approximately 10 million Euro will be invested in this new project and 40 to 50 new jobs will be created with the new hotel.

Europa-Park is Germany's biggest theme park and one of the top ten most beautiful leisure parks in the world (Forbes Magazine).
