Fast-paced rides, Circus-Revue, Christmas Market and Chagall-Exhibition

Fantastic Winter Fun at Europa-Park

From 1st December until 6th January, Germany’s biggest theme park is transformed once again into a magical winter wonderland. Festive Christmas decoration, spectacular winter attractions and a fascinating show-programme are presented at Europa-Park during the “Magical Winter Weeks”. For the first time, a fascinating exhibition of the world-famous painter Marc Chagall is presented in the Mercedes-Benz-Hall during the winter season.

A unique variety of attractions and shows for all age-groups is offered at Europa-Park, which is one of the world’s leading theme parks, during the winter season. Whether a fast-paced ride on the roller coaster Euro-Mir, a trip to the winterly firmament on Eurosat or an enchanting journey through a fairytale-world in the Sleigh Ride Snowflake together with the children – this winter leaves nothing to be desired! Moreover, many additional activities are offered in the beautiful winter landscape: racing down a snow ramp in fun snow tubes, whizzing around the bends on children’s skibobs or turning a sweeping pirouette on the large ice-skating rink. In between, the ice bar “Glaciar” offers ice-cold refreshments in a truly frosty ambience – at minus 11° C even a drink in Spain becomes an icy experience at Europa-Park. For all fans of winter sports, the Arena of Football is transformed into an authentic Après Ski Bar during the winter season.

With more than 2,000 festively decorated fir trees, sparkling fairy lights and cosy log fires, a visit to the “Magical Winter Weeks” is a highlight of the winter season. Moreover, an impressive Christmas Pyramid, a giant Advent Calendar and a beautiful exhibition of Christmas cribs guarantee a festive ambience during the cold time of the year.
The children’s eyes sparkle with joy, when they meet Santa Claus in order to tell them their biggest Christmas wishes and the Christmas Market in the German Alley attracts the visitors with even more beautifully decorated market stands. All fans of Christmas films should visit the Magic Cinema 4D in the French themed area: During the winter season 2007/2008, a short version of the film “Polar Express” is presented in 4D for the first time in Europe. With the help of clever special effects, the audience enters the sparkling winter landscape, which the Polar Express visits on its way to the North Pole. Another highlight for Europa-Park’s youngest visitors is the big “Winterworld”, where a children’s bakery, children’s face-painting and many more special activities guarantee plenty of fun and action. In the children’s skiing school, all kids who have never been on skies before, can gain some experience under the supervision of professional skiing instructors from the Black Forest.
New: This year, all art lovers can visit the exhibition “Marc Chagall – The Magic of Circus”, which was compiled especially for Europa-Park by Marc Chagall’s grand-daughter Meret Meyer, in the Mercedes-Benz-Hall. The art pieces are provided by the family of Marc Chagall. The exhibition includes 38 original lithographs from “The Circus” (1967), 20 lithographs from 1956 to 1979, a text and two precious tapestries.

And also with its first-class winter show-programme, Europa-Park gives the visitors the possibility to experience the magic of circus. In the original circus tent on the Festival Area, the audience can admire the spectacular Circus-Revue “Christmas around the World” with many “animal” and acrobatic performances. In the Ice-Show “Wonderland on Ice”, an international cast of ice-skaters presents impressive pirouettes and first-class figure-skating and in the Globe Theatre, Uncle Scrooge takes the visitors on an adventurous journey. The youngest visitors can look forward to the wonderful Children’s Musical and the funny Euromaus-Show.

Towards the end of an adventurous winter day at Europa-Park, the whole family can admire the sparkling “Parade of Lights”, which is wandering through the park at nightfall. And all those who just can’t get enough of the magical winter ambience in Germany’s biggest theme park, can stay overnight in the four 4-star hotels “Santa Isabel”, “Colosseo”, “El Andaluz” and “Castillo Alcazar”.

During the “Magical Winter Weeks” Europa-Park offers reduced admission prices of 25,- € for adults and 22,- € for children. Moreover, a special evening ticket, which is valid from 4.00 pm on, invites the visitors to spend a winterly afternoon at Europa-Park.
