Most spectacular ride at Europa-Park:

Blue Fire Megacoaster: From 2009 Europa-Park is upside down!

Slowly, the train is moving through the themed worlds of energy and into the darkness. Then all of a sudden: stop. Breathless attention, hearts are beating faster and faster! Launch – in 2.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h! At a height of 40 metres the train turns around – it´s pure adrenaline! A 40 metres high loop – oh my God, I´m upside down! A steep turn follows straight away, then a roll to the right, another steep turn and a roll to the left – no time to catch a breath! Now straight through the loop and a full 360° heart-line roll… another steep turn… full braking. Wow – what a ride!

This is how all visitors, who are daring enough to ride the new catapult-coaster “Blue Fire Megacoaster” at Europa-Park, will feel from the season 2009 on. On a track of over 1,000 metres, one thrill-element follows after another in the new themed area Iceland. With its 10th coaster, Europa-Park is upside down for the first time since its opening in 1975 – and not only once but even four times! Not just the highest loop of a launch-coaster in Europe, a thrilling 360° roll and two more head-over-heels elements, but also a ride straight through the loop guarantee a fantastic new ride experience. And all that at a speed of more than 100 kilometres per hour!

In the “Blue Fire Megacoaster”, which was planned and manufactured by Mack Rides in Waldkirch/Germany, up to 20 persons per train will be catapulted to a height of 40 metres. With the combination of dark ride, catapult launch and head-over-heels elements, Europa-Park offers its visitors a one-of-a-kind coaster experience. Moreover the seats of the trains are equipped with a revolutionary high-tech system, which combines audio and special effects. With the new coaster, Europa-Park has created another thrilling highlight for all fans of roller coasters.

The decision to build a coaster with head-over-heels elements was based on the growing demand of Europa-Park´s visitors and fans. “Our guests´ feedback is very important for us”, says Roland Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park. “Therefore, we are happy to comply with the desire for such a ride and offer our visitors an absolute world-class ride from 2009 on.”
