The Highlights of the Season 2011

 

08. – 10.04.2011: Hot-Air Balloon Festival
Hot-Air balloons of different sizes and shapes rise high into the sky above Europa-Park — the visitors can enjoy this fascinating and colourful event not only from the ground, but also from one of the hot-air balloons.

09.04.2011: Start of the Summer Season

On 9 April the visitors can look forward to some fabulous encounters. - Piccolo Mondo, Volo da Vinci (from Whitsun) and a fascinating Enchanted Forest offer boundless entertainment for the whole family. Moreover, Europa-Park surprises its guests with a world novelty: in the first loop-restaurant worldwide FoodLoop, the cooking pots rush on shiny tracks and loop the loop to reach the tables.

14.04.2011: Charity Event “Run for UNICEF”
Children run for a good cause – this is the motto of the UNICEF event on 14 April at Europa-Park. More than 250 schools from the region are invited to run for a great donation with the support of numerous sponsors. The aim of the event is to help children of 11 African countries to get access to a good education.

23. – 25.04.2011: Easter at Europa-Park

The Easter Bunny and Euromaus await the guests with chocolate surprises in Europa-Park’s Easter Village. Next to the Historama plenty of animations and shows guarantee an unforgettable day.

30.04.2011: Music meets Magic!
Europa-Park and the German radio station Radio Regenbogen present the mega-party “Music meets Magic”, featuring Aura Dione, Stefanie Heinzmann and Guildo Horn & Die Orthopädischen Strümpfe. Radio Regenbogen and bigFM DJs ensure the perfect atmosphere and a colourful party.

30.04.2011: “Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg” Award
Young mime artists, clowns, comedians, singers and cabaret artists are honoured with an advancement award on 30 April in Europa-Park´s Teatro dell´Arte.

01.05.2011: May Pole Ceremony
Surrounded by proper atmosphere, the beer garden season officially starts on this day. Brass music, dancers in traditional costumes, Bavarian delicacies and chilled wheat beer guarantee typical Bavarian flair.

16.05.2011: Europa-Park Eagles Charity Golf Cup

Sports, fun and charity! Also this year, numerous German celebrities from music, sports and television compete for a good cause on the nearby golf course. The competition will take place on the 16 May.

20. – 22.05.2011: “Germany on the Move!” BARMER GEK Tour 2011
Prevention – Quality – Innovation – offers for the whole family all about healthy food and the importance of sports. With many activities, presentations and the opportunity to try out new types of sports.

22.05.2011: TV Production “Immer wieder sonntags”
Music, comedy and plenty of entertainment are guaranteed, when the popular German live show “Immer wieder sonntags” is broadcasted from Europa-Park’s Festival Area on Sunday morning.

Further dates: 29 May; 5, 19, 26 June; 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 July; 7, 14, 21, 28 August.

28. + 29.05.2011: Dutch Festival

Craftsmen show everything about the fabrication of traditional clogs and biscuits from the land of tulips, along with folk dances and dresses, on the occasion of this unique festival in the Dutch themed area.

31.05.2011: Euromusique Festival
A cultural and musical exchange takes place, when more than 2,500 children and teenagers from Germany, France and Switzerland perform music on Europa-Park’s stages.

04.06.2011: Days of Steel
Once again, Europa-Park hosts the big Harley Davidson meeting on 4 June 2011. The highlight will be a great parade through Germany’s biggest theme park.

07. + 08.06.2011: Science Days for Kids
“Hands-on” is the motto for this event. A wide range of workshops, shows and child-oriented experiments awaits all young researchers aged from 4 to 8 years on 7 and 8 June in the Europa-Park Dome and helps to get a better understanding of scientific phenomena.

17.06.2011: Election of “Miss WM”
In the run up to the Women’s Football World Cup 2011 in Germany, Europa-Park together with the Miss Germany Corporation will elect the “Miss WM” on 17 June 2011. Beauties from the participating countries will compete for the title.

22.06. – 03.07.2011: Spanish Feria
Proud matadores and hot flamenco rhythms – the Spanish temperament won’t let the guests stand still. At the Spanish Feria, the visitors experience the lively ambience of a typical Spanish street festival. “Una fiesta grande” with grandiose show programme, live-music and a spectacular evening show in the Spanish Arena awaits the visitors on the following days: 22 June, 24 + 25 June, 1+ 2 July.

01. – 03.07.2011: Grappa del Bassiano

The worldwide famous folk-group “Le Arti per via” will delight the visitors with traditional Italian lifestyle & crafts. After a big parade with all the craftsmen, a lively market place will come to life right in front of the spectators.

01.07 – 03.09.2011: Western-Nights

Following the call of the Wild West! Around the Camp Resort, live-music, barbecue, cowboy-shows and bull-riding await the guests from July on for a genuine country-feeling! The Western-Nights take place every Friday + Saturday (except 30.07).

09.07.2011: Baden Wine Festival
On 9 July, wine growers from Baden present their delicious products in the framework of the sixth Baden Wine Festival along with a colourful entertainment programme including music, comedy and acrobatics in the beautiful castle garden.

10.07.2011: Black Forest Day
Culture, craftsmanship and tradition of the popular holiday region are in the focus of this day. The highlight will be a parade where all participants wear traditional dresses of the region.

14.07.2011: Vive la France
On the occasion of the French national holiday, the Quartier Français invites you to enjoy exquisite culinary delights from France and plenty of entertainment.

15.07. – 02.09.2011: After Park Lounge
Snacks, drinks and lounge music invite the guests to end an exciting day in a relaxing atmosphere from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am. Every Friday, the “Kaffi Hús” and its rustic terrace transform into a stylish chill-out lounge.

23.07. – 27.08.2011: Pirates’ Beachparty
“Pirates ahoy” is the motto in the Portuguese themed area during the Pirates´ Beachparty with a hot show programme and cool drinks. Costume competition, DJ sound or an evening ride on the “Atlantica SuperSplash” guarantee pure holiday-feeling (on Saturdays, except on 30.07.)!

30.07.2011: Summer Party, midnight-opening
On 30 July, the visitors can enjoy the numerous shows and attractions of Europa-Park until late at night! Roller coaster fans race through Iceland by night with „blue fire Megacoaster powered by GAZPROM”, while music-lovers can listen to numerous live bands in a Mediterranean atmosphere. The highlights of the evening will be the big evening parade as well as a big fireworks display.

30.07. – 14.08.2011: South African Weeks
A highlight for all gourmets: the savour of South African specialities comes to Europa-Park! The visitors can go for a culinary journey and taste extraordinary dishes from the Cape and corresponding South African wines in the “Colonial House”.

01.08.2011: Swiss Festival
On the Swiss national holiday, Europa-Park traditionally presents a Swiss Festival in its Swiss themed area with typical food specialities and music performances, among others with alpine horn and barrel organ players.

06. + 07.08.2011: Russian Festival
The guests can discover typical dachas, traditional music and exclusive activities presented by Europa-Park´s partner GAZPROM. Craftsmanship, delicious food as well as show and dance acts performed by Europa-Park´s artists also await the visitors at the Russian Festival.

14.08.2011: Hansgrohe Children’s Festival
Great Children’s Festival at “Lítill Island – Hansgrohe Water Playground”! With refreshing and thrilling games for young and old alike.

22.08. – 29.08.2011: Medieval Market
The world of the Middle Ages is displayed at Europa-Park! The authentic scenery of Balthasar Castle is surrounded by historical live music and a colourful handicrafts market.

03.09.2011: Brass Music Day
Brass music not as traditional as usual! Rock, pop, movie soundtracks or classic – each genre is revisited by the young musicians. On 3 September, numerous bands will perform on many stages at Europa-Park.

07.09.2011: “Kaiserberg” Wine Day

How is wine obtained from the grapes? Why is new wine available only once a year? Visitors find all the answers to those questions in the framework of this day, which is dedicated to the local wine growers and their delicious production.

10.09. – 18.09.2011: Following the Steps of the Milka Cow
The guests of Europa-Park can follow the steps of the Milka cow. Lots of games and fun for the whole family as well as great prizes await the visitors!

11.09.2011: Alsace Day
An unforgettable day like in Alsace! Contemplating traditional costumes, watching craftsmen at work and tasting some good wines from the region – all this is possible on that day. The stands representing several towns give the visitors interesting information and help them discover the charming Alsatian culture.

23.09.2011: Oktoberfest-Special
Great opening party of the Oktoberfest at Europa-Park with “Antonia aus Tirol”, Tony Marshall and Reiner Kirsten.

24. + 25.09; 30.09 – 03.10; 07. – 09.10: Bavarian Oktoberfest
The Europa-Park Arena invites visitors on three weekends to enjoy the traditional Bavarian festival. Catchy music, refreshing “Oktoberfest” beer and typical “Wies’n” atmosphere ensure a sociable evening. (Morning drink: 25.09. | 02.10. + 03.10. | 09.10.)

23.09. – 06.11.2011: Horror Nights – starring Marc Terenzi
Each Friday to Sunday and 31.10. and 01.11., until 6 November! All fearless can be part of their very own horror movie at the “Horror Nights”. Creepy encounters with monsters, zombies and vampires are guaranteed!

03.10.2011: German Unification Day

Europa-Park celebrates the German unification with plenty of specials!

13. – 15.10.2011: Science Days
A giant range of experiments and experiences awaits all kids and teenagers from 13 to 15 October at the Science Days with numerous offers all around science and technology.

21. – 23.10.2011: Club of Skaters Cup Finale

Spectacular moves and breathtaking action – Germany’s best skaters compete for the Club of Skaters Championship at Europa-Park.

29.10. – 06.11.2011: Halloween Festival
Goblins, ghosts and demons indicate the third season at Europa-Park. The visitors discover the uniquely decorated Europa-Park and enjoy an eerily beautiful Halloween event. The highlight will be the daily evening-show.

29.10. – 06.11.2011: Horror Market
Fancy products – from medieval clothing to wrought-iron lanterns – and creepy creatures guarantee a very special Halloween for the whole family from 29 October to 6 November 2011.

31.10.2011: SWR3 Halloween-Party
Germany’s biggest Halloween-Party takes place at Europa-Park on 31 October. Suitable sounds are delivered by SWR3 DJs while adrenaline fans can make use of the extended opening hours of the roller coasters.

04.11.2011 – 04.02.2012: Dinner-Show “Cirque d’Europe”
The Dinner-Show – a delicious experience made of music, dance, comedy, magic and acrobatics, accompanied by a succulent 4-course gala menu created by Michelin-starred chef Emile Jung! The fusion of culinary delicacies and a colourful show programme guarantees an unforgettable evening.

25. + 26.11.2011: DJ BoBo World Premiere
On 25 and 26 November, the world premiere of the new DJ BoBo-Tour will take place at Europa-Park. A gigantic stage and show await the audience of the famous Swiss singer!

26.11.2011 – 08.01.2012 (except 24/25 December): Winter Season at Europa-Park

White Christmas trees, sparkling lights and a fantastic winter show programme herald the cold time of the year at Europa-Park. Special attractions such as the Children’s Ski School and snow tubing let children’s faces glow!
