After more than 6 months, the time has finally come: Today, 21st May 2021, Europa-Park starts into the 2021 summer season. This is possible, because the local government of the Ortenaukreis, as well as Ministry for Social Affairs of the county of Baden-Württemberg have agreed to make Europa-Park a model project. Europa-Park owner Roland Mack: “We are incredibly happy about the approval to be a model project and cannot wait, to finally welcome guests again after such a long time. We have already proven last year, that it is possible to safely operate the entire resort, including hotels, restaurants, the water world Rulantica and YULLBE, with comprehensive hygiene regulations. More than 2 million people have visited the Europa-Park Theme Park and Resort in 2020. We are aware of the responsibility, but we are likewise confident that we can operate safely.” More than 1.600 viewers followed the digital press conference via live stream on Thursday, during which the Mack family gave information about the new attractions as well as the comprehensive hygiene concept. Today, Germany’s largest theme park opens its gates to 3,000 visitors. On the following Sunday, up to 10,000 guests can experience the 15 European themed areas and finally enjoy the long-awaited short break.
