2023: For the seventh time in a row, the trade magazine 'Parkscout plus' named Europa-Park 'Europe’s best theme park’, and for the third time in a row, the Rulantica water world as 'Europe’s best water park’. 'Vikingløp', which opened in February as the largest speed slide in Europe, was also recently awarded the title 'Germany’s best new water slide'.
"Europa-Park is not just the most visited seasonal theme park in Europe, it is also particularly impressive as a complete package, with over 100 attractions, a huge range of shows, six high-class hotels and an excellent price-performance ratio,” say the experts in the trade journal. The jury was particularly impressed by the attractions: 'WODAN – Timburcoaster' received 'Germany’s best wooden rollercoaster' and 'Eurosat - CanCan Coaster' received 'Germany’s best family rollercoaster' in Europa-Park. The popular Pirates of Batavia ride is Europe's Best Dark Ride, closely followed by ARTHUR in second place in the same category. The Europa-Park Hotels are also represented: The 4* superior themed hotels 'Bell Rock' and 'Colosseo' are repeatedly among the top 5 in the 'Europe’s best theme hotels' category.
2023: At the ‘European Star Awards’, magazine Kirmes & Park Revue named Europa-Park as 'Europe’s best theme park’, while the Rulantica water world took second place in the 'Europe’s best water parks' category. The 'European Star Award' was presented for the 12th time and is considered one of the most important awards in Europe for the continent's leisure and water parks. Awards were also given to the most breathtaking new products as well as the most spectacular attractions, rollercoasters and water slides. The 'Voletarium' once again secured the title of 'Europe’s best dark ride’, while the family attraction 'ARTHUR' (2nd place in the category 'Europe’s best family attractions'), the wooden rollercoaster 'WODAN – Timburcoaster' (8th place in the category 'Europe’s best wooden rollercoasters') and the water rollercoaster 'Poseidon' (5th place in the category 'Europe’s best water attractions’) were also recognised. 'Vikingløp', the largest speed slide in Europe, secured fourth place in the 'Best new water attraction in Europe' category and the 'Vinter Rytt' halfpipe slide took fifth place in the 'Europe's best water slides' category.
2023: Europa-Park was named 'Customer Favourite 2023’ by 'Focus Money' magazine in the category of theme and leisure parks. With the highest possible rating of 100 points, the family business once again sets itself apart from all other German theme parks as the industry winner. For the tenth time, DEUTSCHLAND TEST, together with the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF), examined the popularity of around 20,000 brands and companies in more than 200 industries in a broad study. With a grandiose 100 points, Europa-Park is the only theme park that can look forward to being awarded the 'Gold' rating, once again showing that it is valued by its guests for its special quality and the exceptional offerings for visitors of all ages.
2023: The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) determined the most popular sights in Germany in an online survey of more than 25,000 travellers from around the world between September 2022 and June 2023. The result: The Europa-Park resort still occupies the top-ranked spot, making it the most popular travel destination in the Republic. 'We are very grateful to be so highly valued by our visitors in Germany. For us, this is a great confirmation of our attention to detail, our quality, innovation and the high level of service we provide for our guests. It’s the best thank you that we could receive, directly from our guests. Economically, Europa-Park has an impact on the entire region and all of Baden-Württemberg,' says Europa-Park owner Roland Mack. Since 2012, visitors to the GNTB website have been able to use this campaign to name the tourist destinations they consider particularly recommendable. Only international participants are counted. The entries result in a ranking of the top 100.
2023: The Europa-Park themed resort is able to celebrate its position as industry winner of the 'Highest Appreciation' rating. This is the result of a broad study by the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) on behalf of DEUTSCHLAND TEST and Focus Money, examining the 20,000 largest companies and organisations in Germany. With the maximum number of 100 points, Germany's largest theme park is at the top, standing out clearly from its industry competitors. Around ten million online judgments were recorded for the five areas that determine a company's reputation: management, sustainability, product and service, performance as an employer, and profitability.
2023: The travel experts at Travelcircus once again voted Europa-Park as first place in the ranking of the best theme parks in Germany, with 22.72 out of 25 possible points. In its sixth theme park assessment, the booking platform analysed the 45 most popular theme parks in the country and over 1,300 attractions. Alongside admission prices, opening times, reviews, visitor numbers and Instagram posts, all attractions were also examined and categorised. Overall, Europa-Park performed best among all German theme parks, once again proving its special quality and exceptional offering for visitors of all ages. Germany's largest theme park was also able to secure awards in the categories 'Top Instagram', 'Top Rollercoaster', 'Top Rating' and 'Top Water Attractions'.
2023: The Europa-Park hotel resort is one of the most innovative companies in Germany, as determined by the business magazine 'Capital' in collaboration with the data and analysis institute Statista. Overall, the six Europa-Park hotels received the highest possible rating of five stars in the analysis of the ‘Most Innovative Companies in Germany 2023'. The Europa-Park hotel resort received an award in the 'Gastronomy, Tourism & Leisure' category. More than 3,200 industry experts in management positions were surveyed for the study. The central aspects of the study were the areas of 'products and services', 'processes' and 'corporate culture'.
2023: The Europa-Park themed resort is named 'Germany’s most coveted theme and leisure park'. In the F.A.Z. Institute's study of the most coveted products and services in 2023, Germany's largest theme park achieved the highest score. As part of the study, the F.A.Z. Institute analysed around 12,000 service providers and products. For example, price-performance ratio, customer satisfaction, quality, service, recommendation, and popularity were assessed.
2022: The wine and gourmet magazine Falstaff ranked the ‘Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant’ seventh among the top gastronomic establishments in Germany. The food, the service, the drinks and the ambience were rated. The Europa-Park Resort's restaurant, located in the lighthouse of the 4* superior hotel ‘Bell Rock’, achieved 95 out of a possible 100 points and four out of four possible forks.
2022: Along with the reopening of YULLBE GO in the Q 6 Q 7 district in downtown Mannheim, the glass bridge between the two halves of the district also received a brand-new look. For the extraordinary project, MACK Media was awarded the ‘Special Mention’ at the German Design Award 2023. Europa-Park's creative agency impressed the international jury in the category ‘Excellent Communications Design - Integrated Campaigns and Advertising’.
2022: Europa-Park is again voted the best theme park in Germany at the coveted ‘Parkscout Audience Award 2022’, also taking first place in the categories Value for Money, Child-friendliness and Gastronomy. In November 2022, 58,000 participants voted on the offers available in the German leisure and entertainment industry. The readers of ‘Parkscout’ voted Europa-Park first for several categories (best amusement park in Germany, best value for money, most child-friendly amusement park, best gastronomy in an amusement park). The popular family attraction ‘Pirates in Batavia’ took first place as the best theme ride in Germany and the boat ride ‘Josefina's Magical Imperial Journey’ took silver as the best innovation in a theme park. Numerous other attractions in Europa-Park are among the best in the country: The horror event Traumatica (2nd place) and Winter Magic (3rd place) are among the best events in a theme park. The shows ‘The Return of the Sultan’ (2nd place) and ‘ACE - The Adventure Begins’ (3rd place) are among the best shows. The 4* superior hotels ‘Krønasår’ and ‘Colosseo’ took 2nd and 3rd place in the category of the best themed hotels.
2022: This year, the Leaders Club Germany once again presents the Leaders Club Award in the German-speaking area to promote innovative gastronomic concepts in the industry. On 18th November, ‘Eatrenalin’ was able to hold its own among six finalists at the Zollverein event in Essen, winning the Golden Palm. The unique gastronomic event concept ‘Eatrenalin’ was opened on 4th November 2022 at the Europa-Park Resort, taking guests on a futuristic journey to different worlds of enjoyment.
2022: As part of the IAAPA Expo, the world's largest trade fair for the leisure industry, the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) in Orlando presented Roland Mack with the coveted ‘TEA Thea Award’. The successful Baden entrepreneur received the ‘Buzz Price Award' for his life's work and his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements as well as his great commitment to the industry. The Thea Awards have been presented since 1994 to recognise individuals and companies for excellence in the entertainment industry.

The 'ARTHUR' family rollercoaster follows in second place in the same category. The 'Eurosat - CanCan Coaster' scores as 'Germany's best family rollercoaster’ and takes 3rd place in Europe. Europa-Park Hotels are also represented: the 4* superior themed hotels ‘Bell Rock’ and ‘Colosseo’ are among the top 5 in the ‘Best Theme Hotels’ category.
2022: The Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, DIE WELT and the Cologne consulting and analysis institute ServiceValue have awarded Germany's largest theme park 'Gold' in the 'Service Champions' ranking. With a Service Experience Score of 64.5 percent, Europa-Park is also the industry winner. This means that Germany's largest amusement park is not only the industry winner, but also one of the 400 best companies in Germany overall.
2022: At the Dutch Awards, Traumatica receives a Scare Award for the second time from the Dutch Scare Network for the best European event. The jury states that the horror event is outstanding in terms of concept, decoration and make-up.
2022: The 'Wellness Stars Germany' distinguish the Europa-Park Hotel-Resort as the only resort in the country with their seal of quality.
Economics Minister Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut MdL presents the post-certification certificate, which once again honours the hotel resort with the highest possible five stars. The seal represents reliability among the wide range of offers in the wellness area, as well as for high-quality offers.
2022: In the independent analysis ‘Top Service Quality 2022/23’ carried out by Statista and TESTBILD, Germany's largest theme park received the best possible rating of ‘Excellent’ for its service performance, making it the industry winner in the area of amusement and theme parks.

The trade magazine’s expert jury present the awards to the best operators, suppliers, manufacturers and entertainment specialists from all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
2022: On 10th September 2022, Europa-Park is awarded the coveted industry 'Oscar', the 'Golden Ticket Award', as 'Best Amusement Park Worldwide' for the eighth time in a row. This means that Germany's largest amusement park can once again defend its title against renowned amusement parks such as Walt Disney World, Merlin Entertainments and Universal Studios.
2022: According to an online survey by the German National Tourist Board (DZT), Europa-Park is once again one of the most popular travel destinations in Germany. Around 15,000 international visitors from 30 countries once again voted Europa-Park as second in the list of tourist favourites in the country. First place goes to the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, which since spring has been enriched with YULLBE from MackNeXT. Europa-Park is at the top of the ranking in the ‘Leisure and Animal Parks’ category.

2022: The Europa-Park restaurant, located in the lighthouse of the 4* superior hotel Bell Rock, received three red chef's toques in the prestigious ranking of the Gault&Millau restaurant guide.
2022: Europa-Park is named ‘Customer Favourite 2022’ in the Theme and Leisure Parks category by ‘Focus Money’ magazine. With the highest possible rating of 100 points, Europa-Park is once again the industry winner among German theme parks.
2022: The Europa-Park restaurant, located in the lighthouse of the 4* superior hotel Bell Rock, is ranked 33rd among the best restaurants in Germany in the respected Hornstein ranking, with 90 points and two crowns. This means that head chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team have risen by seven places and one crown.
The Gusto guide also visited the fine dining restaurant in the 2021/2022 test season and re-evaluated it. The verdict is nine out of a possible ten pans.
At the sixth ‘Night of the Stars’, Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team ranked 29th among the best restaurants in Germany. The Michelin Guide 2022, the Gault-Millau 2021, the Gusto, Der Feinschmecker - The 500 best restaurants in Germany 2022, the Great Restaurant & Hotel Guide 2022 and the Schlemmer Atlas 2022 are evaluated.

2022: As part of the Trickstar Professional Awards 2022, the VR experience YULLBE GO receives the Trickstar Business Award. The award is given to innovative and forward-looking business models for projects or companies in the animation industry.

2021: MackNeXT receives the coveted Brass Ring Award at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando (USA). YULLBE impressed the international jury in the 'Best New Product: Virtual Reality' category. The Brass Ring Awards recognise specific areas of the global amusement park industry and are considered among the most prestigious awards in the industry.
2021: The 'Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant’, with sommelier Marco Gerlach, is voted 37th in the list of '50 Best Sommeliers' at the ROLLING PIN Awards in November. The restaurant, with 2* chef Peter Hagen-Wiest, is located in the lighthouse of the 4* superior Hotel Bell Rock and is part of top-level gastronomic scene in Germany. The ROLLING PIN AWARDS have tens of thousands of participants, and are considered to be one of the largest, most important and most desirable series of awards in the catering and hotel industry.
2021: Europa-Park receives 'Europe's best theme park’, as well as the 'European Star Award' from the 'Kirmes & Park Revue' magazine at the 'Euro Attractions Show', the largest European trade fair for the leisure industry. In addition, landing in 3rd place are the rides 'ARTHUR' as 'Europe's best family attraction' and 'Poseidon' as 'Europe's best water attraction’. The 'European Star Award' has been presented since 2012 and the international jury, which also includes rollercoaster pioneer Werner Stengel, has 35 members.
2021: In October, the internationally-recognised Parksmania Award comes to Rust. The online magazine Parksmania.it honours Europa-Park as 'European Park of the Year' and the 'Pirates in Batavia' as 'European Top New Attraction'. The Parksmania Award has been presented since 2001 and shows the excellent, first-class quality of what is on offer at Germany's largest amusement park.
2021: At the Parkscout plus Award, Europa-Park takes first place in 5 of 15 categories, with the editorial team confirming Europa-Park as 'Europe's best amusement park'. 2021: At the 'European Identity and Cloud Awards' on 15th September 2021 in Munich, Europa-Park receives the coveted prize in the 'Customer Identity and Access Management' category for its innovative MackOne online registration service. With the help of this new development, since this year the guests of the Europa-Park Resort have been able to access many digital offers with just one account. The panel of experts gives one of seven awards for this customer-friendly solution and particularly praises the innovative strength of the project, which was implemented in just four months.

2021: At the beginning of March, the 'Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant' is awarded two Michelin stars for the seventh time in a row. With their unique concept at the highest level of quality, head chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team represent exquisite cuisine far beyond the borders of the region. The Ammolite continues to be one of the top restaurants in the gastronomic scene in Germany.
2021: Europa-Park is among the ‘digital champions’ of Germany, as shown by a large-scale study commissioned by Focus Money magazine and published in February by the Institute for Management and Economic Research (Hamburg). On a scale from zero to 100, Europa-Park achieved the full number of points, making it the industry winner among theme and amusement parks. It is therefore considered a winner within the theme and amusement park industry. This award confirms the driving role that Europa-Park has played for years in the areas of virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) for the global amusement park industry, as well as the progressive approach towards guest communication. The 4* superior hotel 'Krønasår - The Museum-Hotel' is able to convince the jury of well-known industry representatives and win the accommodation category. According to the experts’ opinions, the loving, high-quality details both in the rooms and in the suites succeed in creating an incomparable fantasy journey to a natural history museum: with beds in the form of old travel suitcases for little adventurers, authentic furniture and perfectly staged accessories that provide the backdrop to create the perfect illusion.

2013: 'TripAdvisor', one of the world's largest travel websites, awards the ‘Travelers Choice Awards’ for attractions for the first time in 2013, making Europa-Park the clear leader. Europa-Park is not only the most popular amusement park in Germany, but also in Europe.
2013: In a survey by the German National Tourist Board (DZT) among 15,000 foreign tourists, Europa-Park achieves 2nd place among the 100 most popular sights in Germany. Neuschwanstein Castle takes 1st place and Cologne Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site) ranks 3rd.
2013: Europa-Park in Rust is the first amusement park in the world to be awarded the 'Green Amusement Park' certificate by TÜV SÜD. The focus of the certification is, among other things, the building and system technology, the construction method, the land use, the traffic management as well as the handling of wastewater and contaminated sites.
2013: Four Europa-Park hotels are recognised by the users of the hotel rating platform 'HolidayCheck': The 4* superior hotel 'Colosseo' wins the HolidayCheck Award 2013 in the 'Family' category, which is awarded based on over 780,000 hotel reviews . It is one of the 99 most popular hotels worldwide. The hotels 'Santa Isabel', ‘Castillo Alcazar’ and ‘Bell Rock’ each receive the TopHotel Award.

2012/13: At the world's largest trade fair for the leisure industry, the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando (Florida), the best theme parks in the world are honoured with the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards. Europa-Park receives three awards: The world's first looping restaurant 'FoodLoop' is presented with a prize for the best gastronomy. In addition, two Europa-Park shows are honoured in the entertainment category: the summer show 'Imperio' on the piazza of the 4* superior hotel 'Colosseo' and the show 'Mysteria - Castillo Mystico'.
2012: Europa-Park scores highly at the prestigious 'Golden Ticket Awards' in the 'Best Amusement Park' category as the second best park in the world and continues to be the best amusement park in Europe. In a total of 25 categories, amusement park and rollercoaster experts vote for their favourites in the US American magazine 'Amusement Today'.
2012: Europa-Park receives an award for its employee training program at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida. The Brass Ring Award for Human Resources Excellence is given for exceptional training and further education programs. Germany's largest amusement park has been relying on internal training and sustainable personnel development for many years.
