Europa-Park is turning 50 this year and all its guests are celebrating the whole jubilee season with it. Its 17 European themed areas invite you to a breathtaking journey across the continent. With over 100 attractions and shows, architecture typical of each country and authentic cuisine, Germany’s largest theme park is the ideal destination for an outing with the whole family. Right next door, there’s also Rulantica offering fantastic water fun at every time of year in its indoor and outdoor areas. 50 years of experiences and amazement at Europa-Park
Not only is Germany’s largest theme park celebrating 50 years of its existence, but also half a century of shared memories and emotions. With special offers and events, as well as a new family attraction and a film being released worldwide, the Mack family are celebrating the success story of the business they own throughout the year. The new interactive 3D-Darkride ‘GRAND PRIX EDventure’ offers fast-paced fun through play at a new level: Guests get to come with Ed & Edda, Europa-Park’s stars, on their adventurous journey across Europe and get to be members of their racing team in the innovative gameplay theater. State-of-the-art multimedia integration and lovingly themed design make sure all the family find themselves in the middle of the animated adventure GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE. Just in time for the anniversary, the popular mascots Ed & Edda will conquer the silver screen from 24. July. Co-producing with Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany, MACK Magic is telling the exciting story of a race across Europe, delighting with humour, action and many of Europa-Park’s beloved characters. In cinemas worldwide from summer 2025.
Under the motto Experience.Europe.Together., the European idea is brought into focus at Germany’s largest theme park. Guests have an unforgettable journey through Europe to look forward to, with a number of themed festivals with culture and cuisine from different European countries. Alongside a new parade with impressive floats and dancers in joyously colourful costumes, this anniversary year promises spectacular new performances from Europa-Park’s artistes. For example, Big Moments – The Celebration Show at the Europa-Park Teatro brings the park’s history to life in its own way. From unforgettable attractions to spectacular shows to iconic hotels – the production leads guests through a half-century journey full of magic moments. The new stunt horse riding show The Legend of Zorro in the newly-roofed Spanish Arena guarantees an adventure full of excitement, breathtaking horsemanship, spectacular vaulting artistry and thrilling sword fights to bring the legend of the masked hero to life.
The new ice show takes the audience to London for the ‘GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE'. Amidst sparkling costumes and impressive acrobatic elegance, guests can watch live as Ed fights for victory with the mysterious night crab.
In the Silver Star hall, visitors can discover exciting interactive insights into the history and milestones from 50 years of Europa-Park. There is also a preview of the new Monaco themed area, which will open in 2026. In addition, rare, valuable cars from the princely collection of the Grimaldi family await visitors.
On 12 July, Germany’s largest theme park’s birthday, and on 23 August, on which the 10th birthday of Europa-Park’s JUNIOR CLUB will be celebrated, visitors can look forward to shows and ride fun until midnight. Fittingly for the motto Celebrating under the Stars, renowned artist Ottmar Hörl has completed a large installation in the historical Balthasar castle park. With 100 golden stars, the ‘Garden of the Stars’ impresses visitors and proves a talking point. Tying in with the jubilee, a Zeppelin is also circling high above. Until mid-November, it will be visible over the Lake Constance region, Allgäu and the Alpine foothills, making both and locals keen to visit Germany’s largest theme park. The aircraft will hover over Europa-Park itself between 11 and 14 July – quite a special experience for the region.
In the European themed areas, all kinds of action and adrenaline are happening. In the Croatia themed area, guests get to experience a rollercoaster highlight with the multi launch coaster Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, acclaimed worldwide. Splashy ride fun and a little cooling down is taken care of on hot days by such water coasters as Poseidon and Atlantica Supersplash. More than 100 further attractions await young and old.
The Coca-Cola Sportsbar in the Arena of Football shines in new splendour. Guests can enjoy live sports events over fresh bowls of fresh and crispy paninis. In the newly furnished shop on the German Allee, unique souvenirs await visitors young and old. For everyone wanting to bring a piece of Europa-Park history home with them after a day full of experiences, there’s an exclusive Golden Jubilee Collection, including the official collector’s album or the 50-year chronology of Europa-Park.
Since 2018, Madame Freudenreich and her dinosaurs have enchanted Europa-Park visitors in the Madame Freudenreich Curiosités family attraction and in a series of picture books. The TV series DINO MATES – Holidays with Madame Freudenreich, developed by Michael Mack and MACK Magic, brings the grandma from Alsace to TV screens for the first time from 2025, exclusively on German TV station KiKA.
The ultimate water fun for all the family
For those wanting to plunge into the waves, there are numerous slides, alongside a large wave pool and the Vildstrøm wild river at the Rulantica water world, open all year round. In Tønnevirvel, a round-about attraction from MACK Rides, guests can get into a water fight in their gondolas. The largest speed slide in Europe, Vikingløp, makes for even more action. Along eight pipes, guests race each other on mats over a total length of over 1,500 metres. New from early summer is the Svømmepøl, a large heated outdoor pool with a swim-up bar and such special features as geysers and bubble loungers. Younger guests in particular get to let off steam and cool off as much as they please on Snorri Beach, whilst their parents relax just metres away on Snorri’s Dune. In the Svalgurok, ten different slides are waiting for you, as are a cooling-off under a giant water bucket or endless fun with over 100 different games available.
Summer entertainment highlights
Between March and October, different festivals for the Golden Jubilee take place on selected weekends in the themed areas, where their visitors can get to know traditions typical of each country and different cultures better. Numerous hot air balloons bathe the skies over Europa-Park between 1 and 3 May in a sea of many colours. At the Summer Night Parties on 12 July and 23 August, terrific live acts and captivating shows await for you at Germany’s largest theme park. Almost all attractions will be open until midnight on these days and guarantee visitors up to 15 hours of ride fun. The hansgrohe Children’s Festival on 29 July invites you to fun and refreshing games around the Lítill Island – hansgrohe water playground. Rulantica is also open until midnight on 8, 9, 15 and 16 August, so guests can enjoy the water world’s attractions for even longer. In the immediate vicinity of the Rulantica water world, TV presenter Stefan Mross will welcome schlager-loving viewers to the popular live programme ‘Immer wieder sonntags’.
New experiences at the ‘Restaurant of the Future’
Guests experience an exciting journey for the senses at the culinary world-first Eatrenalin. The fine dining restaurant impresses with its interplay of high-quality gourmet cuisine under the leadership of starred chef Alexander Mayer, visual and acoustic as well as haptic experiences. Eatrenalin’s centrepiece is the Floating Chair, an innovative ride system from MACK Rides, that lets the guest drift through the different worlds of taste.
Adventure and
With YULLBE PRO and YULLBE GO experiences, virtual reality fans get to experience interactive adventures. At Europa-Park, guests can also get the YULLBE experience: In the Iceland theme area’s blue fire Dome, a number of YULLBE GO experiences are available.
At the TALENT ACADEMY, dreams come true: In the eight modern studios, more than thirty international, certified coaches provide over a hundred course per week. Amongst those offered are dance, acrobatics, music and art, as well as mindset.
Heavenly nights in Europa-Park’s hotels
To get the weight off your feet after exploring for the day, the six hotels at Europa-Park and Silver Lake City offer the ideal place to relax. Whether you’re looking for lonely fjords in the far north or dreaming of Mediterranean nights, the park’s own 4* (superior) themed hotels enchant guests with their lovingly themed and outstanding culinary offerings. Five pool areas and two children’s water playgrounds invite guests to cool off. Spacious wellness and spa areas round off your stay perfectly. Silver Lake City awaits overnight guests with Tipi Town, camping and caravanning. There are 36 new Western houses sleeping four to six people and comfortable pitches. There is also the opening of the Western Diner Station buffet restaurant and the Wild Horse Bar, planned for the summer.
