Year-round offer for curious minds:

Science House - science and technology close up

The demand for educational events at Germany's biggest theme park has grown steadily over the past few years. In response, Europa-Park opted to set up an establishment devoted to science and technology, in collaboration with the "Förderverein Science und Technologie e. V.?. In the

2007 season, fascinating and entertaining exhibits are awaiting visitors to the Science House on an area extending over 1,000 m2.

The Science House offers an opportunity not only to students and teachers, but also to interested individual visitors and families, to embark on an eventful journey to the world of science and technology. Right next to the main entrance of Europa-Park, a total area of over 1,000 m2 beckons, featuring a world of scientific discovery with 80 different interactive exhibits. In addition to activity stations, various events, workshops and science shows plus an activity area invite the guests to experience experimentation, design, invention and discovery. Due, not least, to Europa-Park"s international orientation and its proximity to the French and Swiss borders, the Science House offers a tri-lingual exhibit system (German, English, French).

This unique new educational facility focusses on the scientific fields of "Nature", "Man" and "Invention and Discovery". A wide array of different interactive learning elements can be combined for an interesting and informative tour through the different topic areas of the Science House. For example, visitors can produce their own tornado, monitor the various stages of development of a foetus with the aid of films or act as a human battery and generate electricity. Other topic areas deal with botany, human anatomy, chemistry, robotics, nanotechnology, energy and photonics.

With over 100 attractions and international shows, Europa-Park, which has been classed as a children"s paradise for decades, is an ideal location for this new educational facility. After all, the combination of fun and entertainment with learning and the imparting of knowledge has long been promoted at Germany"s biggest theme park. Knowledge rallies on a range of school curriculum topics and both educational and intercultural events make Europa-Park an ideal destination for class trips, too.

The Science House is a joint project by the "Förderverein Science und Technologie e. V.? and Europa-Park. It is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm and independent of the opening days of Europa-Park. Admission prices for the Science House: School classes ? 5, groups and children ? 6, adults ? 7.
